Anna and Pavel Cuchal founded Duo Bohemico (flute and guitar) in 2010 during their studies at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar/Germany. At that time they got a scholarship by the YEHUDI MENUHIN live music now foundation. In 2014 they were finalists of the Fanny Mendelssohn Award where they presented by now unknown or neglected compostitions by Czech authors who were either unable to compose in their home country or were forced to emigrate. Duo Bohemico participated at many international competitions - 1st price at the Concorso Europeo di Chitarra Classica „Enrico Mercatali“ (Gorizia/Italy 2015), 2. price and special price for the best arrangement at the International chamber music competition Aschaffenburg (Germany 2016). They are regularly invited for cooperation with the WDR3 broadcast in Cologne/Germany and other institutions just as Deutsch-Tschechische Gesellschaft, Felix-Mendelssohn-Stiftung Leipzig, Auslandsgesellschaft NRW. At the moment they are finishing their postgraduate studies at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar/Germany in the class of prof. Thomas Müller-Pering. In February 2017 their debut album Czech Music for Flute and Guitar was released at Radioservis and includes compositions by Jan Novák, Jaroslav Pelikán (world premiere) and Roberta P. Delanoffa (world premiere).
